    Another possible source for canvas is Spring Valley Lodges (Welcome to Spring Valley Lodges). Tell Jim Irish sent you. He makes canvas bags as well as tents and might have material in the proper width for a strop.

    Any work is good work1. 60 cents an hr is better than a sharp stick in the eye.
