3" SRD Premium with Webbing..
So this was my first strop but hasn't seen much use since I got my Tony Miller several months ago. I'm thinking about using the SRD for pastes, sprays, or crox but not sure what makes sense. Paste the leather? Spray the leather? Spray it with what? Paste or spray the webbing? I just don't know lol
What would you do if it were yours?
Info: I have my norton set for honing and thanks to Hiralu, now have a C12K for polishing.

Thanked: 28I just got a fine roo hide leather strop from johnmrson and the piece of leather with a hole punched in it that I was using as a strop before I think I'm going to paste the rough side with chromium oxide and maybe the other side red paste

You could even use it for experimentation. Put crox on both the webbing and leather see if it makes any difference. Try crox on 1 diamond on the other see which one you like better.

Thanks guys!
I think I'll try the crox on the webbing. But then I start thinking I should just get an SRD modular paddle for all this stuff and leave the strop as is.
I'm probably over thinking this...as usual

Thanked: 16It's too nice of a strop to paste. I have the SRD modular paddle and it's great for trying different compounds. I have CrOx on one felt pad and .50 diamond spray on the other. I wish SRD would add a balsa pad as an option.

My gut feeling is that the srd premium is too nice for a pasted strop.
But maybe a great strop also makes a great pasted strop?
I'd love to hear what experts think.
