    Melt beeswax with neatsfoot oil (or mineral oil?) to soften the beeswax.. Use as a base for whatever powdered abrasive.. You may have to adjust the wax/oil ratio to get the right consistency with the abrasive.. More wax less oil will make a harder paste/crayon that won't spread as easily but also won't put as much paste on the strop.. Use a cloth and some neatsfoot (or mineral oil?) on the pasted leather to help spread and remove excess paste.. Not sure about pasting linen, though less is more with pasted strops..
