    It's probaby good enough, but a little more wouldn't hurt.

    You don't need a whole lot of CroOx on the strop...a little goes a long way. Would have been nice to see some along the entire length though.

    Either side would do but you probably don't want to sacrifice the smooth leather side unless you use another strop for that. I prefer linen over leather for Crox and prefer felt (via crox spray) over that. It doesn't take much Crox and it doesn't take many strokes (<10 or Crox is not going to fix your problem- its really a fine tuning step)

    Sorry, but using the rough side will give a nasty rasp effect,you need smooth be it leather,Balsa,felt.
