Jester,
I tried a 3" Premium English Bridle about a month ago when another member brought his over. It was a very nice "sweet" draw.....not too much, and not too little, and I like very light draw! I think you'll like it a lot. Paddles have a place, and I have one, but it gets 1/100th the use of my hanging strops.
Best Regards,
Howard

Thanked: 522I used an English Bridle for more than two years and in the last two months I jumped around to other strops but I am ready to return to the English Bridle. It just has a nice feel to it when stropped on lightly for 50-60 laps.
I rub mine occasionally with Palmolive shave stick just to add a bit of tallow. Don't know if it actually helps but I do it anyway.
