Thanked: 0Max-s, I have the same problem, but I do it anyway...I bleed and bleed and bleed..and the day after I look like I got beat up.....but I will tell you this....your skin starts to get used to it and it only gets better..after the first day, my skin looks great......for the most part.........I am still not to the point where my skin is fine right after the shave....but it is getting better......lets just say it is an upward battle.....Also, I use a really harsh after shave and toner....which hurts but speeds up healing.....and I put a really good moisturizer on religiously........I use Arbonne products for that........amongst many other things....another great product for skin repair after shaves but its like lighting your face on fire is Anthony ingrown hair treatment......which uses salyclic acid and glycolic acid to help remove dead skin and help release ingrown hairs........I find it doubles as a great after-shave....another great aftershave that hurts like hell is Mama Bears Ice After shaves....I use the mandarin Ice one.....its great but again....feels like your lighting your face on fire.......hope that helps a little Max.....

Thanked: 735Wait a second....wait just one cottonpicking darned second here!
I want my money back!
The title of the thread is "One Handed Shaving Technique ", and yet on the "fool's passes" on the upper lip, you are clearly using two hands!
Okay, busting your chops....excellent videos!
I was a one hander when I first started, now I go ambi. I just bought a Japanese razor yesterday, so I may revist singlehandedness when employing that bad Johnson.
I also go for the fools passes singlehandedly!
I really enjoyed the vids, captured the essence of a good shave! I felt a sense of satisfaction, as if I was having a shave myself.

Great vids, X. I too use your patented fool's pass on the upper lip.

Thanked: 2A tip for those of you who want to see better quality vids. First, double click the video to go where the video is stored on youtube (you can also click the link that is shown after the video is finished). Next, click on the link underneath the video that says "watch in high quality". It makes the details a lot clearer. For example, in this video I can now clearly see the whiskers on his cheek, which I couldn't see in the original vid (although I am sure they are even clearer on the original vid).
This trick works on most youtube vids.

Cool, I use one handed method sometimes, depends on how sore my arm muscles are frm working out. Nice to see that I use about the same techinques from never watching anyone.

But seriously, I like xman's tecnhnique in this video. It bares a few similarities to my style, notably the "pencil grip."
