I love that Steeler's wheel song, "Stuck in the middle" I thought that scene was kinda funny actually. Must be Jersey thing....

Well that's the problem. You are sucked into the film, and that scene certainly has a surreal humour to it. You don't even realise at first that he has glorified some pretty ugly violence and made it look cool. Originally Posted by zib

The film picked up four Golden Globe nominations -- Best Motion Picture - Drama; Best Motion Picture Actor - Drama (Chevalier), Best Motion Picture Actress - Drama (Leslie Caron) and Best Motion Picture Score (Harold Rome). It lost in all four categories.
