    2. there were 4-5 layers of tape, to alter the bevel. more than usual, but it was a solid wedge and we wanted to minimize honing time
    3. a radio shack 60-100x pocket microscope

    The most interesting parts of these videos, for me, is the use of a BBW slury stone on the norton 4/8K combination stone. I have both coticules and nortons and I never thought of mixing the slurry of the BBW on the norton. I have used bbw slurry on a yellow coticule with success but never on a synthetic stone.

    I find that slurry makes cutting much faster.

    I used the BBW slurry on my Nortons the other day for a 7/8s wedge and it worked great. Thanks, Ken!
