My shave vids with straights

You are way ahead of me on honing. I am just learning and it has been a bit difficult. I have been told it is possible to remove the tape around the 3k level. This way when touching up a razor you do not need to reapply tape. Have you heard this? Just curious.

Yes i have heard that. but i dont do that.
