I vote for horn too, especially something simple like black horn with led or stainless wedge and stacked washers

Smiling. Would love to see a demonstration.

Thanked: 4827Horn. Single pins. Lead wedge. Traditional shape. Mottled horn on the dark side with just enough lightness to them to make them translucent and show the mottled colour.

Thanked: 1184I just did an 8/8 and tried to do it in streaked black horn. The razor gods didn't let it happen. Went with natural horn and old fashion pin set up reused the lead. Anything else would be like putting a tutu on a bulldog.

That is going to be a problem since I do not have the original wedge. I was thinking of a copper wedge or a gold plated wedge and dark almost black horn that I have left over..

Thanked: 1184That sounds nice. Got a fishing sinker ? Do you have the old washers and inner washers ?
I love the look of copper but would worry about it turning green.Last edited by 10Pups; 09-02-2013 at 03:29 AM.

No I got the blade as a blade only with no scales or any hardware. I did went over my usual $50 eBay budget, but blade's over 1"are so rare that I went for it. I did get the seller to accept a $40 less than what he asked for. Nothing that light buffing can't get rid of.
