Well it's looking good so far. Scales I can do, but bolsters have always struck fear in me for the effort to get them to lay right.
I have always wondered how I would tackle huge bolsters like these. So far it looks like you're doing better than I would.
Try some simple ones first. Not what I did but what I would suggest. My first was a Spike Special. 4 bolsters but they were straight and harder than the Duck brass. The blade on that one didn't survive the restore. It was cracked and it cracked worse.

Nope I'm here...I slowed down some on this one and got busy with some other things, sorry. Sometimes you have to work to pay for the toys :<0) I did get back to sanding the blade and working on finishing the polish on the scales tonight. I also noticed when I started looking at a test fit the wedge is not a wedge at all. It looks like a duck wedge but there is no taper to it. It may need a new brass wedge with maybe a brass spacer in the 3rd pin.This razor is full of little anomalies. Sometimes I think somebody had already worked on it at one time and sometimes I think it was a bad day for some poor razor factory worker. So no, no major mistakes yet, just been doing more thinking about this razor than working on it. That will change tomorrow after work.
Think first is always a good plan, or so I have been told, many times actually.
Here is a pic of the test fit in total. The blade has been hand sanded to 600 so far and I am pretty sure all the blemishes are gone. The scales are at almost final polish. I haven't finished sanding to fit the brass yet so I just cleaned em up to look for deep scratches and see if there are any waves or low spots. I am getting close to glue time.
