    Yeah it is a Baxter Razor. Thanks for the advice guys. i remember the dry hands suggestion.
    Yeah i stored it away for about a month while i was overseas and came back to it a bit shabby. Must have forgotten to oil it before putting it in the sheath. I have done so ever since.

    I would prefer to look around for someone else with experience to do it as i really dont want to screw it up any more than i have. So ill have a look. Thanks everyone.

    Yes ... I am by no means and expert but i have fixed chips like those before... I do it in the back of my flattening stone! The issue with it is that you will destroy the edge and have to start from scratch!

    If you mean a leather sheath, that is also a way to cause rust as the leather can absorb moisture from the air. Leather cases are a bad idea for long term storage.
