Thanked: 0Possible to repair?
As you can see I have chipped the tip of my straight razor. Butter fingers when as I was switching hands... so i have two questions. Firstly can this be repaired, and if so, where? Located in Brisbane, Aust. Bought it a year ago and haven't had to do any maintenance until now so I don't have a clue what to do or where to go. Any advice would be great.
Cheers guys!

Check 'Razor Service In Oz by Oz' under Member Services in the Classifieds here on SRP, he is located there in Australia.

You could make it a muted rounded corner on a piece of wet & dry with minimal effort just check through the repair threads, if not keen yourself Oz would be able to help in Sydney, there are a few lads in the Brissy area that may be able to help you out also, just wait they will chime in I am sure.
Saved,
to shave another day.

Thanked: 1263Yes it can be fixed, the tip may be slightly rounded to avoid removing a lot of material from the entire blade just to remove it.

Thanked: 1184The mark on the blade is interesting.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

You've got a couple chips there and as others have said yes it can be fixed. Since you're in Brisbane reach out to someone local here on SRP for some help.
PS Keep your hands dry when shaving!

Very easy to turn the tip into a deliberate mute but the rust on the edge needs to be addressed. Need to dry & oil your blade unless it lives in air con up there. Steel rusts @ 40% humidity.
