Ouch...that's horrible...no one walking away from that except in multiple bags....people driving in the snow...they never learn.
4 x 4, AWD, none of it matters unless you've got snow tires on and your brain firmly in the, "ON" position.
See these idiots all the time boosting around, and 10 minutes later see them in the ditch.
Terrible....
It’s always amazed me how I people forget how to drive in the snow/ice from one year to the next
4 or all wheel drive gives great take off, straight line traction, but all cars trucks etc stop using the same braking system. Sad how many people don’t realize that till it’s devastatingly too late...
If you drive in sub zero weather without snow tires, you are a menace.
:beer1:
All Seasons rubber freezes below -7 C and just becomes one ice block driving on another ice block....great work, "menace"...should be law here like it is in Quebec.
So much snow here last week, wife's AWS Toyota Venza, heavy car, especially with me in it...driving in a straight line, just sideways in a straight line a couple of times....and I just put brand new snows on it.
Does the Vensa awd disengage after 30 km/hr like the Rav does?
Hated I couldn’t over ride that feature on the Rav I had. Work vehicle so I had to live with it but to me, a silly misinterpretation of what all wheel drive is all about.
Maybe the front diff couldn’t handle real torque loads, not sure. Left that car with the job, hehe.
Your actually better off with bald tires, when it comes to ice. More surface to surface coverage. Trust me, don't ask how I know. :w
Assuming the Rav is a Toyota Rav4. it is a front-wheel drive in it's 2wd models.
That is where the beef is. The rear diff is wimpy. Just added-on to help.
Why would they have to disengage it over 30? Never heard about that.
All wheel drive....Just stay under 30! How wimpy!
I bet you a Lexus or Toyota big SUV hangs-in.
Don't laugh fellers but I used to drive one of these in the winter to get to my high school basketball games......I still have the rough riding SOB---->https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevrolet_G506
