If it's like the one I just did, ya you should grab it. Can't say I see a whole lot on eBay. Great looking handles, and I love the Cream and black with the Cream lettering.

I have the Weck about ready to pin up tomorrow. Everything cleaned/polished, blued, painted.

At 13/16+, this ain't what we think of as we hear Weck. Were it not for the curve in these scales, it would not make the cut. They shall be stuffed. Check out the wedge! :rofl2:
Very cool Tom! I'll really love it when you finish the set!
There's one of these in an antique shop near me. Its a orange band with a wooden handle, says Rubberset.. but i think they want like $45 for it. Seems way too steep. maybe ill see if she will take a $20. Same lady sold me 2 razors marked around $35 each for $40 for the pair.
I got the Wenge profiled and glued up tonight.

That is the natural color of the wood. I dont think im gonna stain these. Maybe just wax em. I like the color the way it is now as well.

Hey guys....
Doin a little experimenting with broken celluloid.
I've heard it cant be repaired, so came the idea.
In simple, I ground out a trough in each piece of the scales, splintered a toothpick with a razor blade, taped the scales down on a wax paper covered board, put splinters and epoxy in the trough, let cure , sand, check strength...not too bad !!
Put three coats of thin CA on the outside of the scale, because the epoxy wont take a shine, once sanded.
But the CA will, plus add a little more strength.
Sorry I didn't take as many pics, as I should have. But I wasnt sure if it would work yet. Heres what i got though. They haven't been polished yet.

Geuss I'll have to pin a blade in them, see how they hold up to honing and stropping.
