Thanks, I did it all by hand sanding. Certainly not the fastest way but I don't have a grinder.

how bout some closer ups rezdog? would love to see more details. they look great.
nice work gents. tuzi, nice recovery on that blade and those scales look great Shaun!
:tu
Those look great RezDog!
Great work on those razors Rez.
I plead guilty on this case :w
I got the scales on the Wade & Butcher tonight and took it to the hones. It took an excellent edge and I can't wait to try it out in the morning. I was able to reuse a set of old Sheffield collars that I took off a different razor a while back. I made an aluminum wedge and brass pins. I'm really happy with the way it turned out, centers right down the middle and feels terrific in the hand.

Oh, boy. Those are some sweet looking scales on a nice razor!
Nice coti, too.
+1 ! Yep. Tuzi is showing how it's done. Extremely nice. :tu
I have drawers full of those.....Can't do THAT, however! :(
Indeed superb work Tuzi love that no glare finish and how the bevel shows, Enjoy!
Great work Tuzi! That's some good looking horn too.
Beautiful Tuzi. Be sure to let us know how it shaves.
I'm still working on my seven day growth of beard to test shave the Wosty. Sunday morning that itchy sucker gets shaved OFF, then I'm going to sit down to a thick Porter House steak for Christmas dinner.:D
Ya know....Just looking at the pics makes my hands hurt!
Tuzi must be a young guy who saves his hands as he does his day job?
That's some serious rubbing, there. JMO
Thanks guys, really nice to hear! Benz, that sounds terrific - nothing like a clean shave after some days of growth... and a steak.
I don't know...Tuzi.
You might have to send that to me, for a more adequate , and professional inspection. There's something not quite right about it..... Its not mine.[emoji23]
Awesome work my man, just awesome.[emoji482]
Yes sir, a whole lotta rubbing, with some attention to appropriate pressure went into that project. Well done sir.
That pic showing the bevel really showcases the finish.
:chapeau
Tuzi I think your satin finish and you pinning both came out pretty fantastic.
Work in progress. Top to bottom :
A freshly made billet of O2 15N20 damascus, 7 layers. Still figuring out what to do with it. Splitting twisting and restacking probably.
Then a piece of damascus that i laddered.
And then two razor blanks i forged from the loaf of Ed Schempp mosaic damascus with my logo running through it in mosaic. These will be mostly stock removal because forging to shape would mangle the logo.

Took most of today off. Wrapping up some loose ends on the razor room.
I want to have it done by Christmas to show the folks.
Got this repop Crosley record-player at an estate sale at least 10 years ago. Looks resplendent on top of the reproduction Simmons Hardware 'ice box' cabinet. Works a treat, pops and scratches. Plays 33's 78's and 45's!
Pile of old 78's at the in-law's house. I shall be snagging those later in the day!
Fired-it up with a Firestone Christmas album!

Some silly 'Frankenstein' switch covers.

Lastly, tonite I shall sit on the floor and re-arrange all the jumbled-up shaving items behind the glass sterilizer cabinets.
I love the light switches!!
And the rest is really awesome too my friend. I might be slightly jealous
Great job all the way around
Absolutely love it, sharptonn!!!! The whole thing is the sum of the parts, the little details add so much, very nice. :tu
It is getting to be nearly complete Tom. I like your dedicated space a lot. Of course I do not have nearly enough stuff to fill a room, but I am certainly envious of you organization as well as your collection of far more than just razors. I would really like a nice barbers chair and a few more odds and ends. All in good time I suppose. I am in love with the light switches too, even though they are not shave related.
That's beautiful Tom. It reminds me of the old barbershop my Dad took me to as a kid.
That switch wouldn't be wired up to the barber chair would it?............Like "Ol' Sparky" at Huntsville.
:rofl2:
I would expect no less from you. You are a lets go there and then some kind of guy.:chapeau:rock:
It does look quite nice right there, outback! You put a sweet polish on that!
The little Starrett hammer was a gift from B52.
Great stuff from great razor-buddies!
Nice going Tom.
Have you ever watched the Waldorf barbershop videos on YouTube? They are always playing 1940s big band music in the background.
Really nice setup Tom, can't wait to see it grow. Looks like there is some space on that one black cabinet for a nice little Avon Truck.
