Soaking the stones now my friend. Good advice as usual.

I noticed something while I was sanding but thought I was just being a pantywaist. Now that I'm honing I can tell for sure that blade is hard, hard, hard. I don't know what they did when they Forged it but MAN is that thing hard.
Minor issues, keepin it all original, is my choice.

I bought two razors. When I got them I found a crack in the blade of one but it had some bone scales. After unpinning I thought I'd put them on a Keenkutter I picked up. After polishing I found a small crack in the bone. Stabilized the crack with CA and pinned it up. Ta-Da! Simmons KeenKutter K10 in bone. The grind is thin but it gets a little thicker at the very tip.

Curious on how it's going to act on the stones when I get a chance. The "Needs Honed Cup" is getting full again. Looks like the stabilizer might need a little work first.
Nice Jerry. It amazes me looking at some of those old razors how precise the grind is. Looking at it from the end it looks like they did it with a machine but I'm sure that was hand ground. He do some really nice work.
This is actually a small 'project', well 1 of 2. The first one is a custom box for my razors...I can fit 6 in there If i manage to get them in spine up, otherwise I think 4 is the most. So far, the issue is, I'm not sure how to prevent the blades from moving around inside. Any ideas? The satin is just a piece of cloth wrapped around the pick-n-pluck foam.

I'm waiting for more foam to come in for the "Shaving Box". Old Cigar box, some foam, glue and a satin cloth! It's not much, but suggestions are welcome!
