Beautiful...in spite of the venue.

Nice work. Everyone can improve their shave experience with a nice brush and a good soap. There is that sector that feel their shave can’t get any better and continue with multiblade razors. I’m not in that group but if they are happy what the heck.
Thanks gents. That surplus goop that rose above the edge of the head, peels right off the hairs once cured. I intentionally overfill slightly to ensure I have the least likelihood of water weeping into my wooden handle heads . To date, no one has ever reached out with a split head so I will keep to my methodology.
It was his 60th birthday. Never to late to learn to use a brush and soap.
Figured I’d start him out easy. This was the puck. He was most appreciative of the gift.

Great starter soap with-a nice citrus(lime) scent that suds up easily IME, and has pretty good glide actually for 15$.
If he takes to it, there could be some MdC in his Christmas stocking this year..
:tu
Everyone loves MDC in their socks.
:-)
Ever get to that point where you have trouble knowing when to leave it alone already?

The Frederick Reynolds humpback:
I got through the sanding at least half a dozen times and then decided there was still too much pitting...go back to the course and work it all the way down to 2k...still see more scratches...etc. etc.
Finally I think I'm done chasing pits. It still doesn't glitter like I want... I'll probably mess with it some more though.
Yes, it sometimes is hard to know. That reminds me of a new member from years ago who was a bit OCD cleaning the pitting off his blade. Through intense effort he was able to eventually sand right through the blade. I kid you not, that is the first and only time I have heard of that. Wish I could find that thread now.

I turned my first restore, into foil.
