Ray's brush handles were turned on his engine lath.
If I'm not mistaken the three pieces were screwed together and also glued.

Thanks for all the process pics, Roy-He had a whole table full of those beauties at the Asheville, NC meetup about 6 years ago. Some of the most beautiful shaving brushes I've ever seen.
Those are very unique! I've never seen brushes like that before. Certainly catches your eye!
I love mine! Here's the Pic Ray took after he'd finished turning it and got the knot installed--

Here it is after the knot had bloomed--

They are 'solid' and for me I like the heft in my hand. According to my digital scale it weighs 230 grams OR 8 oz.
I'm 99.9% sure Ray said he used Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish to shine the handles on the lathe before moving forward.
That is Outstanding Roy!
Those are spectacular looking brushes. I think if I had a couple of those, I might part with all my others.
I believe I posted an in-progress pic of this walnut brush, but I can't remember; my CRS gets worse by the day. Anyway, another brass band job with about 7 coats of Tru Oil and a 22mm 2-band badger from Maggards.

I think I'm gonna work on the cocobolo number with the copper band next.
Aaron, that's a great looking brush! What a great look.
Nice job AAron
Very nice.
