Finished my strop today and happy with the results for my first one. I think I'll tackle a couple more with the cheaper bridle leather before tackling a one in cordovan.

After blueing, oiling, and letting it sit overnight, the colors have mellowed and blended nicely.Attachment 229815Attachment 229816
Now to wipe off the oil, and getter honed up for a ride.
That is going to take another few days I think, Brother. It's one big bevel! ;)
Rest assured it had a degree of concavity as-new.
Old wedges did. Otherwise, the entire blade's face would have to be honed, sitting flat.
