I haven't used the buffer yet but yesterday had a little taste of what it might be like. I was cutting out a chunk of drywall to open up space for a scroll saw. The dust was everywhere. Fortunately, my wife was out at the time. By the time she got home, I had vacuumed it all up. All that dust would have clogged the gears in the domestic machinery.Quote:

Got to give a shout out to the SRP and it's members for their wealth of information. Recently got into DE shaving and working on some restore projects for some antique SE razors I recently acquired. I realize I have a lot to learn but I'm very motivated .
Working on some scales and having issues with the wedge.
Does it need to be glued? I dont own a drill press and have had trouble getting it lined up.
Also, after I flatten out my #0 washers they don't seem to fit into the 1/16 brass rod. Most don't fit before. Any tricks to make this easier would be appreciated.
Someday I might include a picture of a finished restore but after seeing the work done here mine looks like a failed Jr high shop class project.
The craftsmanship from some of you is extraordinary. I'm truly humbled.

There is a discussion on done Spanish forums on how some Spanish razors were made by German companies for the Spanish market. Some of the retailers (like Juan Vollmere) bought the brands they sold and start producing (should I say finishing the razors) at home. This might be the case with this particular filarmonica, or maybe somebody had the templates and a set off scales and made a filarmonica.
There are a couple of discussions here on SRP about the C MON stamped Fili's. In fact, before buying this one I made sure that there was such an animal by reading about them on this forum.Quote:
