Very nice work. I am feeling like I am shadowing you as I have a similar project near the bench. The silver bars separating the pieces, how are they attached? I am on the fence as to if I should try to mount them with pins soldered in from the back or if I should silver solder them to the liners. I see that you pin alignment is off slightly. I need to remind myself that Boulle's final pieces and first pieces were probably much different. Did you epoxy the MOP as well as pin it?

The silver spacers can be drilled-through and pinned to the liners. Just chamfer the outside of the holes a bit and peen them in.
After peening them on with silver wire, you can sand the peens flush and polish. They will be neigh invisible! ;)

the silver shields were pinned with silver wire, sanded and polished - reason why it doesn't show; the silver spacers have engraved surface were simply glued and kept in place by interlocking with the MOp panels (forgot to mention, these are slightly beveled)Quote:
