Great work Rez really like the vintage look you pulled off on the Johnson with straight scales and patina. Man what a looker :)

Nice work Rez, those are looking sweet! I like the collars, I have a pair of Joseph Rodgers I put similar ones on. "Bead findings" or something like that. They don't work on every razor but I think they are good when they do.
Outback, I like what you are doing with the Packwood. I recently dug out one I did about three years ago and looking at it now I wasn't quite satisfied anymore. I had to take it apart, thin down the horn scales which were too thick, get a lead wedge in there instead of the faux ivory acrylic "spacer" I had in there before, use thinner thrust washers and use floret washers like was common on those instead of the domes I used before. I still don't think I have the shape of the scales quite right but it's doing ok.
Three years ago..

Now with subtle improvements..

I've also been working on a Northfield that needed scales and a chip taken out and a heel reshaping. Black horn scales now, brass "cup" washers brass pins, lead wedge. There is some uneven hone wear but I managed to get a pretty even bevel after reshaping the blade.

It is a nice feeling to get them off the bench, whether it is their first time there or not. Sometimes we learn a little along the way and fix some of the stuff we had done earlier.
There is a lot of good work going on.
Thanks for all the support guys.
Indeed, I do appreciate the fine work.
I have not been able to get much done as of late, personally. Living and working vicariously through you fellas is quite rewarding.
Thanks for sharing your fine work! :bow
I think we all take turns in that regard Tom.
My last endeavors were a bit short as the razor I rescaled and honed for Richard (Razorfeld) somehow slipped out of a hole in a priority box...How does THAT happen? :banghead:
Will find him something else around...
Salute?

Tuzi, Rez and Outback, you guys are rocking it!!!!
All those razors are looking top notch :tu
I've been busy, and the little ones keep my hands full. But I'll get a couple done before I have to hit the fields this spring
And dang Tom, that sucks how it slipped out of that hole in the box......riiiight
Did you get an answer explanation about the hole in the box, Tom? That sounds pretty mysterious.
