Congrats and all the best to you and your family! That's just terrific news!
mihai, the brush looks great! What height is the loft at now?
Last time i set a knot in a handle, i made the hole a tight fit. Shoved knot in and then used it a few times to get the feel. Lowered the knot and tested 2 more times. When i thought it was right i dropped it a touch more and glued it in. Now that its broke in completely i think i should have dropped it a wee bit more but its still a nice brush.
Good looking handle BTW.
Congrats Eric.!!
Boy I'm sure glad the diaper days are gone, and cleaning poo paintings from the kid and walls.[emoji38] [emoji15]
The loft now has a little over 5 cm (sorry I can not even express in inch), I made the hole deep enough to reach 5 cm but I found that if the base is 27mm, about 1 cm in height has more and the hole It should be extended a little.
Now the handle has 6 cm, and if it widens a bit, it can drop by another 1 mm.
I just have this knot and I can not stick it, I'm trying to make another handle and choose the right one.
Doing a bit of sanding on the Curley tonight and thought I'd share a little tip.
After sanding both sides of a blade to a desired finish, I like to cover them with scotch tape and cut away the excess with a SE blade. This protects the blade face's from unwanted scratches while sanding the spine, toe, and tang areas.

Remove the tape once all has been sanded, and is ready for buffing or polishing.
Or if your going for a brushed or satin look with polished spine and tang, leave the tape on till all else has been polished.
