Thanks Joe I may send you something in the future, but I think Im gonna give it a try on my own I have Bill's restoration CD coming and the crack is just the very very tip maybe less than 1/16 from the end. I was just gonna grind this off slowly or cut it with a diamond dremel wheel slowly. I guess I will go through the CD first to see what there is on the matter when it arrives. I think this one is salvageable. Seems to take and edge quick using my knife stones I have it to where I can slice one hair at a time from my arm once I get the norton I think it would be a good razor not that I would know but call it intuition from someone who has sharpened lots of other things. Just gotta work out that crack running up the tip. I was rounding off the tip slowly on a diamond stone when i noticed it. Most likely occured whenever the point on the tip was chipped off. Well im rambling. Thanks for your offer and to everyone for offering up so much great information for newbies.
