This blade was ground on a bench grinder and a 1x42 Rockwell with various grit belts. The one that amazed me was the Trizact belt from Lee Valley. I'm not sure if they still sell it, but it went through steel like butter, and wore down to a nice mellow shaping belt when it was almost done. I think part of the reason my grind was so wobbly was the fast belt speed and narrow belt, but that work was done a year ago. I don't get much time in the shed.
I'm going to try a finer belt on the 2" and see if I can rig up a slower drive.
Fascinating journey.
