Yeah looks like ivory to me too and without unpinning you have pretty much no good options.
On the plus side ivory is fairly tough so it may survive for a long time with gentle use. Stropping is what you want to be mostly careful with not to put stress on the scales.

But it will either survive or not and there is very little you can do other than being relatively gentle with it, if it breaks completely you can consider repair - put back in place with CA and reinforce with a liner layer (many options there some better than others).
