what a difference one letter can make... good thing i can make changes when necessary

i cleaned some old dirty bone scales years ago and i've completely forgotten what it did - worked quite well though. i know i put them in a jar of something for few days, so i want to say it's either dishwashing soap or very weak hydrogen peroxide (that one I believe can make bone very brittle, so I'm leaning towards the soap).
