    Default Rookie Mistake!

So a quiet Sunday afternoon in the garage drilling out a pivot hole. Straight is in the vise and the hole is drilled. Take out the razor and notice a couple of burrs that have to go. So the rookie dumb a-s mistake takes place. Grab the blade by the spine with my left hand and pick up the drill with my right and proceed to have bit bite hard into the hole and the blade spins out of my hand and slices my palm and small finger before I know what has happened. I live on blood thinners so things got a bit messy. Fortunately my Doctor is a good friend and when I tell him what I have done he says meet me at my office in a half hour. So 7 stitches later I am back home and decide I may as well jus relax and enjoy another cigar and go in the house and watch the recorded Great Britain grand prix from yesterday. I am sure I will kick myself in the a-s for several days as I contemplate my stupidity.

OUCH. I've done that same thing, but with a piece of material less damaging than a SR blade. I away figure all will go well until it doesn't. I did it recently on a key chain, dog tag shaped ID thing that had too small a hole. Luckily for me it wasn't sharp enough to do real damage.

I have few scars on my hands from moments that passed in slow motion. You can't take it back but may want to think twice next time. I hope it all heals up without a hitch.

I don't know what to say!!

I guess I'll say this - thanks for not posting on "The cut of the day" thread. I doubt anyone else would post with that as a hallmark lol!

Seriously though! What were you thinking!? Chicks dig scars lol?? .

Gods Speed Friend - with the blood thinners, that's going to take a while to heal!

I did not hit the "like" button because there is nothing that I like about this.
