very Lucky Bob that it wasn't a lot worse.
My friend had a piece of 25*5mm square edged flat bar about a foot long bite & go throught his hand with a standard little workshop drill press.
leaving only his thumb & pointer finders not severed through his palm and it wasn't sharp and definately wasn't pretty

should put this in as a monthly safety reminder sticky thing

'very sad. That I haven't had such a moment yet is pure luck. I've deserved much worse than I've gotten. 'Hope all comes back to full function w/ no leftovers.

I would have lied and said that my wife and girlfriend finally met and I got caught in the middle when one of them got a hold of one of my razors. That's gonna linger and leave a friendly reminder not to play with sharp objects. Heal well and fast.

That is a decent cut, the fleshy areas like that heel well in my experience. The sharper the cut, the better they heel. Bets on you don't do it twice. You will be up and running in no time.

What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one

    Bummer

Keep it clean and let it heal. When the callus starts to peel back you know you are on the mend.

    Wow..that had to smart!!

Things of that nature happen to us all at one time or another. Catching myself in the leg while starting a chain saw (decided to cowboy it and not keep the saw on the ground while starting it...never good), going through a rotten piece of wood using a machete to clear some palm fronds was another episode where I got to see just what my leg bone actually looked like in real time. That hurt too.

Lopping off the corner of my left thumb while administering the HHT was the most recent. Decided the whole HHT thing was not really worth the effort after that.

Seems I manage one unfortunate chapter of self-inflicted trauma about every 10 years or so. The thumb thing was less than a year back, so I think I'm alright for now....

ahh! I hope you have a quick recovery Bob. That'll certainly make us all think twice about how we handle our razors when working on them!
