Re-polished the razor using the steel wool. Not a huge difference in the discoloration but it definitely gave it an improved 'luster'. Test shaved with it this morning with decent results, but I ran it back over the 8k and 12k this evening so I'm hoping tomorrow it will do even better.

Here are the final pictures (after the steel wool rub-down). DEFINITELY the ugly sister in my rotation of razors, but I am very happy it was saved from the trash bin!
