Actually I like the idea of a reverse shorty. It would make life way easier shaving around my goatee, lol.

A spike heel does help with a goatee. It's also nice to have a beater razor, that you don't mind shaving with, for honing experiments.

I have a goatee & have found it difficult to shave with a standard SR but I get it done, it just takes me longer. I can see where that would help out. I'll have to dig through all my blades to see if I have one cracked at the heel. I have a pile of good blades & a smaller pile of cracked blades so maybe I have one in the pile.

I have a goatee and have no problem at all, nice clean lines along the jaw and neck...one day I'm going to shave it off and see what its like to shave upper lip and chin area...now that sounds like some serious straight razor shaving!!

That's cool, I have to move the goatee all the way forward & shave. Most of the time I'm ok but like I said, it takes me a little longer. I'm right handed & I can use my left hand some of the time but other times I have to use my right hand. It just takes me longer & I have arthritis in my left foot that hurts as if it were fractured or something like that. Still waiting on disability to come thru so I can see a doctor for little or nothing & get medications. I can't stand in one spot very long w/o moving around. I have a late 1800's shaving box with a mirror on it that would be at an angle when open, so I could use that if I had a wash bowl like the good ole days & sit while I shave.
