My condolences on your loss. I lost my father 14 years ago and my mother 2 years ago, how I miss them.
I'm with Bruno on who to hone, while I've never tasted Max's work Glen has done a lot of work for me along with teaching. He restored my great grandfather's Wade and Butcher and I'd trust him with any razor that I own.
His work is outstanding. I highly recommend him.Our house is as Neil left it- an Aladdins cave of 'stuff'.

Thanked: 3Thanks for all the advice on honing services and also for the condolences. Good news, though! Today I just bought Lynn Abrams "World of Straight Razor Shaving" DVD and I can't wait to get it.

Sorry about your dad. I still miss mine all the time. He left you an excellent heirloom, one to be very proud of. I know I would. I would follow Bruno's advice & send it to one of the two or even Lynn but when you get it back, be very careful with it & don't drop it in the sink whatever you do. You would never forgive yourself if you ever chipped the blade on it & it does happen but don't let me scare you either, just be extra cautious. I don't even have a C-MON yet but I want one bad. Good luck & happy shaving.
