    Default ebay scales

has anyone used these scales before?

1 Pair Smooth White Bone Straight Razor Blank With Wedge 5 1 2" 140mm | eBay

i am pretty sure they will fit the razor i want to put them on, but if not how customizable are they if the need arises?

    what is the quality like?

Since they're blanks and not finished scales you will have to do some work on them for them to look and feel right.
I would reckon that they are as customizable as they are long since the pin-holes haven't been drilled yet(you're talking about shortening them if they're too long, right?).

That's the idea, from the pictures it seems there is no pin hole, I'll have to ask the seller.

they still need quite a bit of work. They are not as much of pre finished scales as pre started scales. If you are lacking the equipment to cut them out easily they are probably a good buy. They still need a little shaping, drilling, sanding and polishing. It will work but if you are looking for something a little more plug and play I don't think you will be that happy. They look quite flat so the drilling should be easy. The wedge will have to be adjusted for the razor being installed.

Rezdog, you have once again hit the nail on the head. I don't have any kit to cut them out, but I can shape them. They aren't drilled but that's not too hard. I don't want plug and play I still want a bit of input into the end product. I'll get them and see how I go

    I see you're from Oz...

Where in Aus are you? Im In Brisbane, have some power tools you are welcome to come around and use if you are wanting to attempt some scales from scratch.
It's nice to be important, but more important to be nice
