    Sob! I would venture to say the current crop of razor nuts are finding and creating more cracks today since the beginning of razors!

    I'm not too sure about that as I'm sure razors that cracked in the past were scrapped long ago. Scrap drives furring wars and all.

    What a shame.
    As some of the others have said though, if shortened it will still be very usable.
    Might look nice with a square point, and then you wouldn't loose much length, just a thought

    Sorry to see
    Had a similar blade this week, a bengall that revealed a cracked in the middle of the toe after 2 days of soaking in evaporust luckily only about 2 minutes of cleaning with the scotchbrite then noticed it so it is now about 1/8" shorter so looks like I can used the old scales with the broken pivot after all.

    Not as nice a blade as yours to find a crack in, so will have to watch and see what comes of it
