Yeah I have WASTED way too much time getting to fix these. I could have had 8 sets done by now.

Yup, I do know the feeling. Been there many times. Some times "Trash" is the correct answer! Was doing a job for a business, it fought me and my pocket book all the way, got to the short strokes and went for a final fitting and, Oh Gee, they were going out of business and the project wouldn't work for someone else. Oh, they did say see our lawyer for payment. Trash!
Some days and weeks are like that and some other weeks we are on a roll and get enough done well to make up for the rest of the times.
Be well with not being super craftsman!

Alright.... I will take them out of the trash, put them in the PILE of to do projects and Try again in a couple months.
VERY FRUSTRATING that I couldn't make these work. I KNOW I can do it.... maybe need another project to take my mind off of this.
UPDATE:
The scales are now sitting in a acetone bath. Starting from square one.

Thanked: 1936I have to tell you, white rouge on a buffing wheel would make those guys have a beautiful luster. Follow with a hand rubbed wax like Ren Wax and you would be set...
