Ever have one of "those" projects?
CRIPES.... I have been working on and off on my satin wedge scales (ebony) for over two months!
EVERY time I work on them something happens...
CA doesn't dry right, Sticks to drying apparatus and peels off a piece of scale getting it off, sanded through the CA about 5 times...
It is like it just doesn't want to get done!
I have to take a break from them again before I just snap them mo fo's in pieces...................
Going to bed now to TRY and calm down.

I can empathize,
It is amazing how things can go so much better after taking a break and coming back to a project.
Then again some projects like to fight you the whole way through.

This is the info that not everybody realises,
some of these stunningly beautiful razors takes Many many many hours of work to get to those better than new looking finishes.
They may be making it hard but now Chev, but now also I can't wait to see the final result, were I am sure it will all be worth it, when you post for us to drool with jealousy, not always realising how much went into it,
And then when you have the first buttery shave, you will hopefully forget all the hard work into it also.Last edited by Substance; 11-02-2014 at 08:03 AM.
Saved,
to shave another day.

Thanked: 41It seems like every one of my projects is one of those. I realize I learn more from mistakes than successes but geez! I just take a break maybe shoot some targets in the backyard with a nice cup of coffee and relax. In the end it will come together friend

Thanks guys!
Thing is these are just the plain Jane type satin wedge scales. No bolsters to worry about fitting, no logo to worry about... You think that they would be an EASY rescale.
I can't even imagine if I were doing this for a customer like Charlie and Glen. MUCH respect for the guys who do this for a business.
I guess we are spoiled and see all the beautiful razors and forget how much WORK actually goes into making them look like that!
I WILL get em.
