My first scales!
Finnished my first pair of scales today!
I bought the razor cheep online and was also one of the first razors I honed myself. It had a some ugly plastic scales so this is defenitely a upgrade!
The wood is guayacan that my father brought home from Ecuador once.

Nice job!
Much nicer than my first ones...
Nice pining job to boot!
Next set try and thin them down more. It helps with the overall look.
Really nice job.

Thanked: 2591Shape looks great. For future reference if you are going to make more scales, it is better to use a wedge rather than spacer. When spacer is used the scales may bow in with time. With a wedge, the scales will not deform.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
