Numbers inside scales??
I was restoring a Joseph Allen and Son razor when I noticed it had the number 77 on the inside of each scale. Anyone ever seen this and know what it means. The scales are not horn.

Thanked: 634My guess is that is from manufacturer to determine e which brand and style razor they are for. May not be correct but it sounds good.

Thanked: 127Seen that Numbers often, there could be also TM Names inside the Scales (especially Galalith, a Casein Plastic from the 20s/30s) or the Manufactorers Name (here inside my Gong 7/8").
