    To get sorta back on to the tools track, these straight line power tools are great for blades and some scales work:

    There is a Dremel equivalent. Both on the 'bay occasionally and at Hock Shops. About $20-$45
    Just think, you get to make scratches along the length to offset all the scratches from rotary tools. So the grind lines disappear more quickly.
    You can wrap regular papers and films around the contoured shapes that clamp into the tools.
