    Might be something as simple as what Jimmy posted or something as complicated as what Tom mentioned

    I have no idea about the originalness of the "wedge" but it's pretty interesting. I would be inclined to leave it as is.

    This one was probably made in the '50s ? It is a great shaver, which is why I still have it 5 years later. Here are some more pix of the pins/spacer. Both sides and a shot of the center pin spacer along with the one at the wedge end. The two spacers are both 4mm ;

    I can't say whether it was original or not, I would take Glen's word. That said, the pins look like the match.

    I love the look and would leave it that way. I have a Taylor's EyeWitness~The 3000 Special that is pinned like that. I am not sure if it was original or repinned by the gentlemen from whom I got it, but I love it..
