Russ, thanks... if I were on a game show, I would wager the full pot that what you've pictured is a CJB.. not a Feather.

I don't think it is a CJB - here's one I converted.

Odd.. I've had the CJB, Feather RG and Feather Dx and I don't recall the CJB having the contour line across the spine, nor having jimps... Are you saying what you've pictured is a CJB??

Here is an autopsy of a CJB...

Looks as though I posted the wrong photo - maybe it's this one - either way the CJB is nothing like #7

I am reasonably certain the photos I posted are of a Feather DX Japanese - the blobs on the handle are where the Feather logo's go. My Feather DX (Japanese) is exactly like the photos

Looks nothing like my Dx Kami... Specifically the contour of what be the 'grind' on a traditional straight.
