Mist it with some warm water and slowly open it up. Mist again and open a bit more. Keep misting until you get it opened all the way.

Once open you can Iron with a warm iron or put a clean paper towel under and over and put some weight on it.

The one in the photos was in the bottom of a leather wrapped Clauss box.

Came out pretty good and only took a few minutes to get it flat with very little tearing. It was wadded in a 1/2 X 3/4 in ball.
