    My 3M sandpaper is surely manmade, as are the nortons I'll use for shaping the bevel, and the dremel, felt wheels and dovo paste I'll use for giving it a final polish when I am done hand sanding.

    I suppose I could make my own sandpaper with vellum, bone glue and crushed eschers , coticules and various natural stones, but I am not that desperate to avoid manmade tools.

    Btw, one of the reasons for hand sanding at 100 grit is that if you put a 100 grit wheel on a dremel, you can do a lot of damage really fast if you make a mistake.

    Bruno,

    I'm picturing you regrinding your blade using only slurry from your Belgian blue... After your thread about thebigspendur's frameback, I wouldn't put that past you.
