New, sanded, and polished domed brass washers look great! They really look incredible on the black horn. I learn something new daily with this FBU!

WOW! Nice anvil and pins, Steve! Looks like we need to see some results! :tu
My thanks to Bill and Steve. I am certainly no master, but truly enjoy making something from little using things which I have and those which are cheap and easily attained.
Mostly, I enjoy restoring, sharing skills and info, and gathering up same from you fine guys.
This thread came along at a fine time. The forum and politics thereof are wearing upon me. Hell! I just want to have fun!
My thanks to all of you for the complements and birthday wishes!
Now......Let's get some razzers out, take some pics, and fix up some old junk! :whipped: :rofl2:
Steve. How are you gonna beat on THAT?

Yes Austin, they do accent the black horn very nicely!
Thank you Tom. This has been an awesome thread. I too love to restore, repairing & such. I love to keep thing vintage if possible & some things get restored like new though, depending on what shape it is in initially. Take my Curley straight from Sheffield for example. It was missing a piece & there just happened to be one complete on the bay at the time I showed it off & the other one on the bay was rusted up & had broken scales which made it a good candidate for parts plus an extra blade & I won it. That was one I didn't forget to take before pics of & when I show it before & after, it's an awesome piece that I removed all the rust, sanded it on progressions & polished it & it became a beauty!

It's all about us working together, sharing our ideas & much more even though we're not in the same room together, it almost is as if we were sort of. Nothing can beat hands on sharing or mentoring though.
[QUOTE=sharptonn;1548588]Steve. How are you gonna beat on THAT?
Tom, I have my other one to beat on if I want but this one is special. It is for tapping lightly. I actually tapped lightly on the other one but this is going to be nicer for peening! You can see some things in the background like all my rolls of tape & such.
The railroad track anvil gives me an idea. My Dad has a couple of canonn balls balls in his yard...:hmmm:
Last night I read the instructions for the Dremel. I might get a chance to test it out on some broken scales Friday plus some more hand sanding on the Reynolds. I'm doing the sanding on the patio and the shorter days are making it hard for me to get any work in on the evenings.
Hey, listen to the master, 'Now......Let's get some razzers out, take some pics, and fix up some old junk!'
If I don't see some work soon, I'm leaving....come on...dirty fingers, trash to treasure....come ON!
Oh. Don't be tapping on THOSE CANNON BALLS until you know what's in them! :nono:
