Well I've received my next project razor from Mike T
Hoo boy.. This ones gonna take some work.
Think this one is will be a round point as well.
Scales... Will be made of blood wood, CA finished, and brass wedge

I'm going to utilize the blood line, into the center of the scales, that will show the two different grains this wood has on both sides of it

Someone mentioned model glue. That stuff would melt anything as I remember.
Betcha it is now just CA. That stuff had to be hazardous.

Dumb f#!$&,.... Rather see um get cut in a razzer restoration program, than destroying their life and brain, family, friends.
Was almost there myself, many, many , many moons ago. Glad I got out when I did. Damn that was a long time ago now that I think back on it. But I never sold my razzer for the next high.[emoji5]
So now, I shall hit the Hobby Lobby and Cut Rate Fishing Tackle (nothing cut-rate there!) this weekend.

By the way I've seen somewhere, believe it had to do with neoprene wader repair. But its a UV activated glue. Stays liquid till exposed to UV light.
I shall toss it into the 'outback' box!
Tain't much. The blade is honed out. Some stabilizer work at least. Top front bolster was tilted upon manufacture. Perhaps onset of Cell rot. Yellow.. like the Goldedges.

Okay so now that the discussion is for some going in the direction of heat... did anybody read my posts about that? Any comments?
A quick refresh: heating the scale material and also the inlay?
The lip around inlay from being sunk down into scale.. do you think it will be a factor?
Smoothing it out with flat iron like Teflon coated heated piece of metal? ... to lock it in...?
Yay or nay? Any ideas?
Outback, that tool is very cool! Makes your mind wander with the possibilities/applications...
Home depot carries the 'laser bond' uv cure glue I think. Good idea to try as well Outback!
Yup, the testor's model glue is still available at hobby shops as Mike mentioned.
