Thinking the same thing Tom. :tu
Between the 3 file sets I have 32 different thread pitches to draw from. Surely one will line up pretty close with any given razor..
Almost quittin time here in the world of milk.. Hopefully I can get some time in the shop tonight..

I've been going crazy trying to think of what they called those files for making grooves & it is checkering files like you mentioned Richard but thread cleaning files are another option.
And yes, checkering files are pricey as opposed to a thread cleaning file!!! Since the thread cleaning files are usually narrow & you need more grooves ya just start in the last groove made & go to town on it until ya get your desired length of jimps. Wallah! :tu
Tom's new avatar is confusing the hell out of me.
But...... I am strangely quite comfortable in that state.

It's a beautiful day here, 75-76 degrees out. Awhile ago my weather on my phone said 76 degrees but now it says 75 & cloudy. I got my garage door working the other day so awhile I got out there and started working on my scales for the Wosty. I separated them rather than marking them since I thought it would be much easier. I don't know what I was thinking before, my mind is so overwhelmed with crap! :banged:
I also have made a new wedge out of solid recon bloody red jasper. My other was the same but was a thinner piece with brass on each side & i wasn't that happy with it so I saved it for something else.

These scales are going to come out beautiful & I'm happier with my wedge so far! As you can see, I was going from left to right & right to left on my belt sander to get my contour on my scale.
Looking good Steve-O!!!

Thanks B52 Mike! I've been a little lazy but when ya have a bad back like mine it is hard to get things done sometimes. It doesn't feel too bad today so with the weather nice like it is, I was able to do some work.
The grain in that wood is "ROCKIN"!! Thats gonna look really nice, once all's pinned up.[emoji41]
Coming along. The one on the left looks thicker than the one on the right but with my digital calipers, the left one is 3.86mm & the one on the right is 3.94mm at the wedge end. I love the swirls on that left one.
