Those are Honey horn & that engraving is an acid etch so you don't wanna screw with it much. If it were a stamped engraving, that's another story. I cleaned a blade with an acid etch off not too long ago with 0000 steel wool & WD40 but don't do that. I wouldn't chance it if I were you.

Thanks, Mike! The heel got insanely wide and you know how I like to get that edge around there (or close!) Had to use a bit of compounds under the bevel back there and round it off a tad to get it working. I still honed down from the tang a lot. Shure feels good! I also gave the Wade and butcher a 50 on the 12k and the full monte on Escher to get it optimal.
Should have some good shaves coming! ;)

Yep Im stoked! The one Ive been using bounces a bit, just isnt right, too small, just a flat bar for bucking rivets.
You just wait Outback, Ive got some goodies, gotta finish the one and pack it all up.
I was expecting to have to work hours on end with poor tools and even still it would not come close to this one... just not my expertise..

Heres where Im at with the W&B. My kid broke the toe, not too bad, and was gonna have to take a bit off anyway (but not as much). Still gotta work on the toe end, and then the spine and tang and touch up face. The scales are drying, got a food/fruit dehydrator at a goodwill, so that the tung oil (100% takes forever to dry) will actually dry lol I wanted to try it out. Read a number of reviews and tutorials. Ill get more pics tomorrow, today was a long crazy day.

Yep. Swoop the toe from a bit before the middle of the blade forward til it looks right. Draw a line where you want it with a Sharpie and stop short. Will be fine. Gonna lose some, Not much!

The use of power Sanders/ polishers, DA sander, palm sander, to hand.
Starting at 36 grt. , progressing to 600, then remove the sanding disc from the sander/polisher, and install a buffing pad and go at it.
I use a assortment of metal polish, always ending with flitz, applied and polished by hand.

Then two coats of flat black, Rust oilium.
Super glued two strips of teak to the bottom , since it wasnt flat.

Yeah those strips of teak on the bottom are a good functional touch. The Rustolium is great, such a perfect contrast between the mat-finish black and the polished metal.. and the available side, I always thought it would be just the top, then saw the one Matheus has and was thinking what a great idea, and so when I saw you made the side of the anvil smooth working surface as well... well dang dude, you need to go into business!
I agree it is a sculpture, could be in a gallery. You know Im gonna need to make some sort of stand for it..

I've been working on several different things. I know I should work on one at a time but when I get to a stand still on one, I move to another. I got some
3/32"x 1" x 12" brass strip in the mail today so I have been working on a wedge for this Wosty EBRO.

I actually wanted the pivot end of the scales a hair longer but they ended up being too long. I somehow got my measurements off, so I had to shorten them & drill a new pivot hole. They'll work for now. The brass wedge will look good.
