I'm liking what I'm seeing. This is the blank cut in half and placed back to back. I'll true up the two surfaces to be bonded, and adhere them tonight.

I hope so Shaun. I'm already thinking about what this stuff is going to do to my HSS tools. Trimmy warned me, he tried turning G10 and said it killed his tools. Nothing ventured, nothing gained I suppose.

You can buy 2x2 Micarta blocks for chaep in many colors,yes they will trash HSs cutting tools bigtime

You have 2 options really, HSS and carbide. In 24hrs, we'll find out if I need a set of the carbide... Originally Posted by RezDog

From what I've seen of my blanks in just flattening the 2 sides on my sander, has me excited. I'm also learning lots and will continue to learn good and bad when I put this blank on the lathe. Cross your fingers... Originally Posted by cudarunner
