If I had a razor with someone's name "scratched" in to the scales, I'd leave it.
That's part of the razor's history and in my opinion, just adds to the charm.
    Just my perspective

So I connected with him but he lived kinda far so everything was by phone we agreed on $1000 for 115 razors, when the package arrived there was only 105 razors I called him and since I got them for 8.70 cents a piece or something like that he took off the 87 dollars... Nice guy

Your thread was moved to the workshop area because you are welcome to post about your work with your razors, period. Any further talk of or mention of your need to sell these razors will result in your entire thread being removed or locked.
    Thank you.
I would first off like to apologize for breaking a rule here on SRP... I don't recall me publicly selling a razor to anyone on the thread, I do recall mentioning that I planned on investing in these not only to sell them but to also learn from them how to restore. In all honesty I was just trying to give some background about my life and how I was in a rutt because I'm a stay at home Dad and and straight razors have truly changed my life in such a positive way that in wanted to share my story and progess... I personslly think that it's abundantly clear what anybody's intentions are when they make a purchase of this caliber... I have literally been really involved in the community with everything I have been doing, from honing all the way to buying bone wedges at pet stores lol and this post was just a part of my journey and I thought it was a cool share that I even found 105 razors, I also thought it would be something that people would want to see being amungst people who love straight razors... If I was trying to just make a buck from the community i definitley wouldnt have never told how cheap of a price i paid on the lot... I was just excited that another piece on my chess board had moved and it was a pretty awesome move haha...

Again I would like to apologize for me breaking a rule but if this is how my intentions were viewed by the moderators I I would prefer them to remove it... The last thing i would want anyone to think is that I joined this community to make a profit... I joined this community on a whim and after talking with the people I started being a very active member because I enjoy sharing, getting help and friendly conversations... Not for a profit....

I obviously cannot tell you or anyone on here what to do but in the future if there ever is a problem with some thing I did, I would respectfully ask to have the conversation via PM just like any other private matter on SRP...:

I'm with you Bongo leave the history if the scales don't need replacing
my 1" W&B has 14 Potel Euni scratched on scales,
    Name: image.jpg
Views: 204
Size: 36.9 KB

Researched the name the closest translations came up as follows:
    14 Potel euni
    Potel - Hotel
euni - short for Eunice or sexy
Eunice Louisiana is not far from Kentucky where I got it from
So either room 14 Hotel Eunice
or I Like to go with
    Room 14 Hotel sexy
which makes me think of a Gentleman's club in Eunice Louisiana
where it was the spare travelers shaver for the room maybe
or someone left it there & couldn't go back for it for reason of discretion LOL

so you never know until you at least check the names etc, they could be famous & valuable to know

That's awesome, I wish that I had something cool like that on mine... It just says Lydia, twice no less hahaha... I definitely have decided to try and save all the original stuff on the razor like pins and scales. I actually had plans to replace majority of the scales on the razors until someon told me it's better to keep it all original even with flaws
